Welcome To The Barn

The Barn is Grade II listed, built in the C17th, and originally open either side for threshing grain.  The stables and sheep shed were added later.  It was all left unused and redundant for many years until we came across it by chance and great good luck in 1999.  We had a tractor and trailer, and fork lift truck from our farm a little further north, and spent a wonderful two years converting it all into our home.

Folkingham is a really special conservation village, mostly Georgian around the Market Place, in south Lincolnshire.  We are off the main road, in a quiet corner of the village, in Spring Lane.

 

 

We have eight acres of grassland around the barn, where we graze our flock of Jacob sheep and keep free range rare breed chickens. The old "crew" yard is now a sheltered, south facing garden with a pond and raised flower beds... Read more »
