Welcome To The Barn

Folkingham is a really special conservation village, mostly Georgian around the Market Place, in south Lincolnshire.  We are off the main road, in a quiet corner of the village, in Spring Lane.

The Barn is Grade II listed, built in the 1690s, and originally open either side for threshing grain.  The stables and sheep shed were added later.  In the later 20th century it was all left unused and redundant for many years until we came across it by chance and great good luck in 1999.  We had a tractor and trailer, and fork lift truck from our farm a little further north, and spent a wonderful two years converting it all into our home.

Almost immediately we started welcoming guests to stay with us, initially as a member of Wolsey Lodges, and for more than 20 years recommended in Alistair Sawdays 'Special Places To Stay' guide.  We are still thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to meet visitors from near and far. We manage our bookings directly, so availability doesn't show on other websites or search engines.

We hope the website will give you plenty of information, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.
